Chatelles was born of passion: François fell in love with a girl to whom he decided to offer a pair of slippers that had been specially designed just for her. Engraved on the inside of these slippers was the following verse by Victor Hugo: "I cannot live... far away from you any longer."
The thunder struck immediately. She fell in love with the slippers, broke up with François and promptly left with the shoes...
With more than 150 original styles having been produced in a huge selection of materials and colors, Chatelles offers all women to shine in flats without sacrificing their femininity nor their rock chic side.

In 2012, François ditched his job at a London investment bank in order to found his start-up.
He launched Chatelles, the young Parisian fashion house producing purely feminine slippers, almost customizable with a large choice of tassels or initials: it was the birth of an iconic shoe.
François' calling is to create the only brand which is entirely devoted to women slippers to match elegance, comfort and to look sparkling on women's feet.
