Nicole Brundage was born in Texas and raised with her family strongly rooted in the art world, her grandfather a famous sculptor in Mexico, her uncle a prominent NY art gallerist. And with a mother and grandmother who were avid collectors of beautiful clothing she was intent from an early age on to become a designer.
Following her graduation from
Stanford University with a degree in Fine Arts and Art History, she attended
Istituto Marangoni in Milan where she studied fashion design and shortly after interned for
Giorgio Armani. Having then gained some experience through her collaboration with
Manolo Blahnik while working for
Zac Posen in NY, she promptly went on to launch her own brand of luxury women's shoes which she presented in Paris in 2006.
Following her debut, she was chosen to participate in the
"Who's on Next" contest promoted by
Franca Sozzani, editor of
Vogue Italy and has collaborated since with several fashion houses such as
Furla Talent Hub,
Salvatore Ferragamo,
Max Mara and
Alberta Ferretti.
She is currently launching a new line of shoes,
Acrobats of God, which she defines "a way of expressing the extraordinary in the ordinary".
Her style: she prefers her shoes to speak for themselves.
