Jerome Dahan grew up in Paris and came of age in Montreal, where in the mid ’70s pair of jeans, which featured embroidered back pockets- a, he designed his firstn innovation in the early days of designer denim. In the early 1980s, he migrated to Los Angeles, helping establish it as a world capital for the design and manufacturing of premium blue jeans.

Dahan’s passion for denim as both a material and an industry has led to a string of high-profile design and brandbuilding positions at Guess and Lucky Jeans. As a founder of Seven For All Mankind, he brought the concept of luxury denim to the U.S. market and built a 21st century global brand. After a quarter of a century working in the industry, Dahan has emerged as a true visionary.

Adriano Goldschmied hails from the Italian port of Trieste and launched his first denim line in 1970 in the ski resort of Cortina d’Ampezzo. Eight years later, he founded Diesel and would be instrumental in the development of successful European brands including Replay, Goldie and Rivet.

In 1993, he began manufacturing a signature line, A Gold E, in Los Angeles. His subsequent venture, AG, won Sportswear International’s Best Women’s Jeans for 2002-2004. Goldschmied then created the luxury denim label GoldSign, which was merged with CITIZENS OF HUMANITY in 2007, bringing Goldschmied into the fold.

“My work is like a denim research laboratory for the whole company, Goldschmied says. I like to push the envelope, because sometimes you don’t know what the limits are until you have passed them”.
