Biography

Greek-Cypriot, Paris based designer Erotokritos Antoniadis, studied fine art and textile design in San Francisco and fashion at Studio Berçot in Paris. After working for various Parisian Fashion Houses, he launched his own label in 1994.

He quickly gained reputation for his colorful collections that capture the essence of effortless Parisian chic. In the spring of 1996 he opened his own boutique in Paris's Etienne Marcel district, followed by a second one, which opened in 2004 in the Marais District.

Erotokritos launched his eponymous line in Paris 12 years ago after studying design in the US and working under directional designers Martine Sitbon and Thierry Mugler. Now well established throughout Europe, Erotokritos boasts 2 boutiques in Paris as well as a strong representation in Le Bon Marché, Les Galeries Lafayette & Selfridges.

All pieces of the designer line are manufactured in Europe with the finest fabrics including Italian jersey, Parisian lace and often featuring custom prints. Easy to spot on the street or on the rack, the Erotokritos collection exudes sweetness and whimsy; the perfect statement for the woman who knows she can be fun, darling, and beautiful all at once.

Known for his cut, drape and use of novelty and colour, Erotokritos' designs are a signature in and of themselves. Harpers and Queen put it best: "it's all adorable, but one of the clever things about Erotokritos' designs in that girlieness never comes at the expense of sexiness or grown-up chic".
