Biography

Kay Lee is one of the most successful designers in Korean fashion industry especially in women’s casual. She has created four brands for two different companies over 12 years as the creative director and currently directs two, Kaylee Tankus and BNX. Lee hates to be seen as a typecast and this is the main driving force of her success. Her approach for designing a brand starts from the observation of the void in the market rather than forcing her preference to the market.

Kaylee Tankus is a casual and chic sportswear for the young, urban woman. Since creating the brands in 2004, creative director Kay Lee has successfully launched collections that has architectural cut and appeals to global style crowd.

Kaylee Tankus is made for a well-educated and curious woman, a modern day globetrotter who travels in the search of new ideas. Kaylee Tankus collections are inspired by a concept of global culture and have arisen from a mixture of Eastern and Western tastes, thus giving life to a collection which is enriched by big-city details, yet at the same time extremely traditional shapes.
