Biography

Fashion illustrator, artistic director and accessories designer. Pierre-Louis Mascia, ‘renaissance man’, has accumulated experience in domains as diverse as the production of small pieces of furniture for Idee in Tokyo, as the artistic director for the Who’s Next boutique catwalk show for 5 years, and since 2001, as the artistic director for the Première Classe salon which has now become a globally recognized event.

A passion for the fashion industry and a taste that is safe but very much of its time has allowed him to take on the artistic direction for accessories at Kélian, Clergerie, Fenestrier, Lunettes Anne & Valentin and Hervé Chapelier. Finally, Pierre-Louis Mascia launched his own range of accessories and small leather goods in 2004.

Louis Quatorze was founded in 1980 by Paul Barrate. Born into a family of French leather artisans, he wanted to echo the flamboyant period of when French culture and art reached its pinnacle.

During the 1980s, Louis Quatorze went east and was introduced to Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan, where it was met with immediate success. By the 1990s, Mr Jeon from Taejin International had become interested in the brand and set about developing it in its own market, Korea. Louis Quatorze then became one of the leading brands in the territory.
