Company profile
Emilie and Benoit Carpentier founded Marchand Drapier in 2006. Heirs to a long line of textile traders, they decided to use their expertise of luxurious materials to revisit the menswear classics. The collection has been designed as the ideal wardrobe. The care given to fabric sourcing and finishing highlights refined details that express the offbeat chic of this collection.
The summer 2012 collection draws its inspiration from the 1930s Riviera buzz. The Art Deco prints, whether geometrical or flowered, take centre stage, reviving suits and short-cuff shirts. The Klein blue lights up nautical stripes, a reminder of the riviera yachting style. Not to forget the bright red that elegantly dresses pea coats or cotton diner jackets.
For the first time this season, Marchand Drapier invites women to borrow the best items of menswear elegance. The dinner jacket, a mix of dark navy dry wool and black satin is the first inherited piece, closely followed by finely detailed shirts, perfectly adjusted to the feminine shape. Atypical elegance, so dear to the brand is now not only masculine but also very feminine.
