Satu Maaranen, a graduate of Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture, is an international award-winning and experienced designer. In 2013, she won the Grand Prix at the highly prestigious Hyères Fashion Festival in France. She has also been awarded at the Finnish Elle Style Awards gala and at Copenhagen Fashion Week. Satu Maaranen has worked for a number of international brands, such as Petit Bateau of France and the Chinese Exception de Mixmind. She has designed clothes and prints for Marimekko since 2010. She is also one of the founders of Pre Helsinki, an organisation focusing on the internationalization of Finnish fashion designers.
Marimekko is an iconic print and lifestyle house, established in Helsinki in 1951. Marimekko is a textile maker, fashion icon and a homeware specialist famous for its bold prints and quintessential take on everyday classics.

Mika began as Marimekko's President and CEO in February 2008 when Marimekko's previous President, Kirsti Paakanen, retired after leading the company for 16 years. Mika concentrates on developing Marimekko's strategy in the long-term. His duties include e.g., responsibility for the development of Marimekko's strategy and its implementation together with the President and the Management Group, as well as an active senior role in managing the company's financial affairs and stakeholder relations. Furthermore, Mika has a senior role in developing leadership within the Marimekko Group.
Tiina Alahuhta-Kasko, the President of the leading Nordic fashion and design house Marimekko, acts, in her role, as the chairman of Marimekko’s Management Group. She also acts as Chief Operating Officer in her role. Her career in this fast growing creative company began 10 years ago in International PR. Tiina has a Master of Science in Economics from the Helsinki School of Economics, a CEMS Master in International Management from Groupe HEC Paris and Helsinki School of Economics, and she has done further studies at Harvard and IMD business schools. She also frequents as guest lecturer in topics of international marketing and brand management, as well as internationalization strategy.
