Austin Sherbanenko is the founder and designer of men’s wear line
Odyn Vovk, whichs translates “One Wolf” in Ukrainian. Austin’s work reflects on his youth and being inspired by anything that sparks his curiosity. The collection is designed without the structured direction that a hard lined story would offer. He has a much more spontaneous approach, that when ideas pop into his head, he follows the ones worth following.
The 24-year-old, works in his Skid Row warehouse in Downtown Los Angeles. A small upstairs office, studio/workspace, and showroom downstairs where he displays the collection on hand made racks and the space filled with his collectables dating back from his youth.
Sherbanenko’s interest in fashion dates to when he screen-printed his own T-shirts while attending high school. Over three years ago, he had an internship for a New York-based menswear designer, and while there he borrowed space to show off his first collection. It paid off: Barneys Japan, H-Lorenzo, and Blackbird picked up the first season. His clothes are currently carried in stores in the U.S., Canada, Western Asia, Europe, Hong Kong and Japan, including Downtown Los Angeles store Sartorialoft.
He is now presenting his 6th collection. AW2011.
