At the beginning in the late 90’s Surface to Air consisted of a group of friends who wanted to work on projects they liked. In the early 2000's Surface To Air was known for its' Shop/Gallery. In our space near the Louvre, memorable openings for Surface to Air exhibitions and publications were gathering global talents such as Bansky, Faile, Kenneth Cappello, Dash Snow, Cyprien Gaillard, ARE Weapons, Paul Sevigny, Gonzales, FEIST... Year after year, the team has grown into a multidisciplinary company spanning across creative domains such as fashion, graphics, photography, design, music, films… Today each company develops its own activity but always within the Surface to Air vision.

Surface to Air is first of all a collection that offers contemporary edge and luxurious quality at a friendly price for both men and women. For our men's collection, Aldric Speer creates a bad boy bourgeois whose inspirations go from rock, army and heritage imagery. For our women's collection, Dorothée Loermann proposes her vision of the good girl gone bad such as Bunuel's Belle de Jour, always though her very special combination of 80's sexyness, German architecture and natural materials. Our iconic pieces don't need an introduction: Dorothée's timeless buckle wedges or Aldric's black leather jackets for men.
Every season, alongside the collection, we also develop special collaborations with people from different fields (artist, designers, musicians,…) who are linked to Surface To Air: Justice, Solve Sundsbo, Kings of Leon and coming soon: Kid Cudi, Kim Gordon & Sonic Youth, Leigh Lezark; Miguel Calderon and Cyprien Gaillard.
The collection is now distributed in Surface To Air’s own stores (Paris, Sao Paulo, and NYC in Sept 2010) and in more than 300 stores around the world (Barney’s, Le Bon Marché, Le Printemps, Lane Crawford, Isetan…
