Alice Temperley was born in England in 1975, trained at London’s Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and finished her studies with a Masters degree at the Royal College of Art. Besides a thorough training in the traditional disciplines, Temperley specialized in fabric technology and print.

In the 2011 New Year Honours, Temperley was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Her Majesty the Queen at Buckingham Palace for services to the fashion industry.

Temperley’s award portfolio also includes the ‘Award for Innovation’ from Central Saint Martin’s, ‘English Print Designer of the Year 1999’ at Indigo, Paris, Glamour Magazine ‘Designer of the Year’, Elle Magazine ‘Young Designer of the Year’ both in 2004 as well as ‘Designer of the Year’ awarded to Temperley at the 2011 Hollywood Style Awards.

Temperley launched her first book in 2011; ‘True British: Alice Temperley’, by Alice Temperley, published by Rizzoli New York, 2011.

Alice lives between West London and Somerset and has a five year old son, Fox.

‘Temperley Bridal’, launched in 2006, has expanded to two collections a year and is sold at leading bridal ateliers worldwide as well as in exclusive Bridal Salons found in all Temperley own-brand boutiques. Temperley Bridal offers made-to-order, bespoke and ready-to-wear styles.

Temperley London has also expanded into lifestyle with Temperley Scented Candles, Temperley Scarves and Temperley Travel and has plans to move into further categories.

The past thirteen years have earned the Temperley critical acclaim and devoted fans around the world. Amongst many others, ‘Temperley London’ fans include; Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Florence Welsh, Demi Moore and Jennifer Lopez, and ‘ALICE by Temperley’ has been worn by a range of fans including Beyonce, Emma Watson, Jessica Biel, Rihanna and Dakota Fanning.

The company currently operates 5 standalone stores; two in London (a Flagship in London’s Mayfair and a boutique in Notting Hill), Dubai (the Dubai Mall), Doha, Qatar (the Gate Mall) as well as an outlet in Bicester Village. The online store has recently re-launched at TemperleyLondon.com

In September 2013 Temperley London appointed Ulrik Garde Due as Chief Executive Officer, who took over from the company’s long standing co-founder and CEO, Lars von Bennigsen who remains a major shareholder and on the Temperley Board as an Executive Director.
