A visionary with 25 years of experience in the fashion industry, Jene Park is the Creative Director of the Los Angeles-based luxury lifestyle brand Thomas Wylde.
Born and raised in South Korea, Jene had a personal penchant for style as a little girl,and immigrated to the U.S. with her sights laser-focused on a career in fashion. She graduated from FIDM in Los Angeles where she was a recipient of the Fred Hayman award, and a sought-after scholarship from Maison Lesage where she had a chance to learn the business and techniques of the famous Parisian embroidery atelier. There she honed her craft, working with many of the fashion world's elite haute couture designers including Givenchy, Chanel, Balenciaga and Dior.
After completing her graduate studies, Jene began working with Max Azria, founder ofBCBG, where she played a key role in the development of BCBG's growth from $2million in annual revenues to a $700 million global brand. Ms. Park was instrumental indirecting product development, sourcing fabrics, and establishing pre-production and production strategies for their portfolio of 12 brands in over 3,000 points of sale.
In 2004, Jene's entrepreneurial spirit and experience propelled her to start her own consulting venture, Jen E Jen, creating and implementing design, product development and production strategies to apparel and accessories companies. Ms. Park was engaged by fashion houses, companies and brands such as Vera Wang, St. John,Seven for All Mankind, and Vince, amongst others.
Her aesthetic, eye and experience caught the attention of the company, Thomas Wylde,and shortly thereafter joined the brand as the COO in 2006. For nearly a decade, Jene oversaw the entire spectrum of the company operations and with escalating responsibilities, which included taking oversight of design and product development teams, production, quality control and logistics, and sales and marketing.
In 2015 Jene Park became a partner at Thomas Wylde and was recently named its creative director. September 2015 marked her first runway show for Spring/Summer2016 at New York Fashion Week. She is also overseeing the brand’s expansion,including the launch of a secondary collection, Thomas Wylde Los Angeles, and the launch of a separate accessories division.
