German designer Tom Rebl launched his label with the much talked-about fall/winter 2008-09 collection “Shocking Radiance”. The subtitle “Shocking Radiance”, which remains attached to the label, is citing the name of an Elsa Schiaparelli fragrance from the 1920s. These times were defined by Surrealism, which focuses on the subconscious and considers dreaming as a “reservoir of the subconscious” and the creative source.

This defines the overall concept and philosophy of the label Tom Rebl. High quality fabrics, innovative treatments and dies, elaborate construction and finishes are his trademark and make the label unique and unmistakable.

The mixture of excellent technical skills and his captivating creativity, which was nurtured during his studies at the infamous Central Saint Martins College in London, brought Tom to Italy in 2005. This move was only a matter of time, as the labelling „made in Italy“ is valued more than ever and inevitable for a brand with top quality demands. Since his arrival in Italy, Tom established a close network with craftsmen and small Italian manufactories, which fulfil the high quality aspect and give an authentic hand finish to his collections.

With an Italian production company in the background, sampling and production is made exclusively in Italy and is closely watched by Tom himself.
