A 17 year veteran of the Japanese market trading under a different company name, last season was the first time designer Tossy Miura had made a foray into the European arena. The entire collection is produced in Japan, using the best fabrics sourced from all over the world, with a view to translating his experience at home in Asia to create something more tailored to the European customer.
The dominant silhouette is essentially slim but still maintains a relaxed, unstructured direction. Lightweight, unlined jackets are a key product area, in keeping with a general shift towards comfort and practicality in light of changing global climates. The neutral colour palette draws inspiration from functional shades and natural finishes. The label hopes to expand into London and Paris through showing in the Touch! hall at Pitti.
