Arab Fashion Week

The Arab Fashion Council. (AFC) is the world’s largest non-profit association that represents the22 Arabic countries members of the Arab League. Its membership consists of womenswear, menswear, jewellery &accessories designers; in addition, photographers, bloggers, art directors,make-up artists, hair stylists, models & editors.

The Arab Fashion Council works to establish a coherentfashion system in the region with an important focus on education and culturaldevelopment, an initiative that contributes to the promotion of culturaldiversity and support to creative industry, which is in line with activitiesthat UNESCO Office in Doha is also undertaking.

The Arab Fashion Council (AFC) aims to promote Arabfashion designers in the international fashion market, and enhance the cultureand system of the Arab fashion industry in the region.

Its main objective is to position the Arab World onthe international fashion map, where the AFC’s strategy is to adopt and develop global standards,elevate the talents of Arab designers’ academic studies, and contribute to the development of culture byestablishing an Arabic fashion system.

Under the patronage of the world’s largest non-profit fashion organization, ARAB FASHION COUNCIL that represents the 22 Arab Countries, The Arab Fashion Week is designed to be one of the world’s highest profile designers showcase along with the other four big fashion weeks held in New York, London, Milan & Paris. Becoming the new landmark in the fashion industry, with a brand new innovative concept; involving 22 Arabic Countries, members of the Arab League, is hosted in DUBAI, UAE, from the 31 OCT till 2 NOV 2015 promoting the Ready-Couture for Spring/Summer 2016 collection. The Arab Fashion Week is the first platform that promotes and highlights the Ready Couture trend, hosting not only localArab designers but also international talents from all over the world to give them the right visibility on the newest platform of Ready-Couture collections.
