An architect by eduation, Jordi Colomer designs video installations. Works that work fine alterations between fixed image and movement, between abstraction and narrative, between dreams and document. The photographs of the “Anarchitekton” series, depicted on the cover and in the pages of this edition, depict contemporary architecture and city as an imposing and artificial decoration. Situations of urban drift in which architecture passes to the rank of mobile sculpture, carried at arm’s length by a man-sandwich, a kind of Don Quixote and Sancho Pancha mingled. An enigmatic hero who tells us that, in these contexts, the fairy tale of a liberated and liberating country is only possible on the scale of the model, if the project confines itself to designating the without considering the social emancipation needs of the people concerned.
