He signed the album covers of the best local rock bands and became the “official” artist of the alternative cultural movement of Argentine youth. In the early 1980s, he settled in Spain where he opened his own graphic studio. He actively participates in the artistic movement and the Madrid “movida”. Since then, he has collaborated with fashion magazines and fashion designers ( Vogue, Vanity Fair, Christian Dior, Lagerfeld, Chloé ...). But Juan Gatti is best known for his collaboration with filmmaker Pedro Almodovar for whom he creates all the movie posters.
