Inauguration
No longer White Homme, but White June. The important fashion fair opens up to a dialogue with art, furniture and culture. From the 19th to the 21st June at via Tortona 27-54, Milan.
The White Homme has changed its name and not only its name. Taking place at via Tortona 27-54 from the 19th to the 21st June, this edition of the important Italian fair leaves behind the name linked to menswear connotations, to become White June. A new format, with the participation of 193 exhibitors including an increase of 41.8% for the clothes and accessories sector, which calculates for the presence of menswear and womenswear collections and a series of initiatives characterised by the contamination among fashion, art, culture and furniture. The fair hosted by Massimiliano Bizzi in partnership with Case da Abitare presents “Material World”, a showcase for emerging designers’ research proposals, linked to the experimental use of materials. "Car On Air", a project put on display at the Anfiteatro Arte Milano gallery, proposes the works of three young contemporary artists: Guido Airoldi, Andrea Carpita and Claudio Onorato. More connected with fashion: the two highlights of the event, organised in tandem with the Comune di Milano, which will welcome the audience in suggestive places: the inaugural performance of Antonio Marras by the Sacrestia and the Chiostro del Bramante, and the appointment on the 20th June with the menswear and womenswear designer, Massimo Alba, in a secret garden, that is the Orto Botanico, the green area of Brera, with music from students from the Teatro alla Scala as a soundtrack.
