The official Copenhagen Fashion Week show took place from Wednesday, August 3rd until Sunday, August 7th 2011.

Danish newcomer Ann Sofie Madsen opened the show making quite a buzz. The three days of fashion shows came to an end on Friday when Henrik Vibskov put on a dazzling outdoor show in front of Gallery’s venue.

These two formed a talented line-up along with Dennis Lyngsø, Tabernacle Twins, Magnus Löppe (last year’s winner of Designers’ Nest), Bruuns Bazaar, and Designers Remix who made their Copenhagen comeback after previously presenting at the London Fashion Week. Also worth mentioning were Soulland, Stine Goya, Minimarket, Wackerhaus, R/H and By Malene Birger.<sld(denmark)|center>

The presence of Danish and Swedish buyers who attended the tradeshows seemed to be less than last year. This could be explained by the fact that this season took place a bit earlier, during the holiday period.

CPH Vision presented a strong, design-driven portfolio of 153 exhibitors and 230 brands with focus on Nordic design, feminine fashion, well-established international brands as well as up-and-coming designers. 120% Lino, French Connection and Rundholz chose to exhibit at CPH Vision this season.
Terminal-2 specialized in denim and street wear with 133 exhibitors presented nothing less than 247 brands.

As usual, the Copenhagen Fashion Fairs focus their attentions towards up-and-coming designers by organizing Designers’ Nest where graduates from Scandinavian fashion schools are given the opportunity to showcase their collections. Linda Larsson from Textilhögskolan in Borås was awarded as the winner of this 14th edition of Designers’ Nest.

Gallery exhibits more than 300 brands such as Antik Batik, Day Birger et Mikkelsen, Epice, Humanoid, Opening Ceremony, MiH Jeans, Sessun, Shine, Surface To Air, Kuro and Linda Farrow, 10 fashion shows and 10944 visitors attended the tradeshow.
