Fashion Week

The sixth season of International fashion week in St.Petersburg will take place from October 15 to 21 in Manezh Center Exhibition Hall.

Since two years AFWR became one of largest fashion events in Eastern Europe, gathering more than 20 000 fashion professionals every season. The headliners of the upcoming season would be Alessandro Dell'Acqua and Comme des Garçons. The catwalk shows will present also the most interesting Russian designers such as Tatyana Parfionova, Igor Gulyaev, Leonid Alexeev and others. In collaboration with the international partners, such as Depesha Magazine (USA), the American designer Rubin Singer will be participating in AFWR. There will also be a special Finnish program, called Portfolio FInland, curated by Minttu Vesala, the head buyer of Helsinki10 concept store. Dutch designer Addy Van Den Krommenacker will be presented in coordination with the festival "The Window into Netherlands". The traditional AFWR lectures program will feature a fashion theroist Valerie Steele, director of the Museum at FIT (NY) who would speak about a correlation between fashion and homosexuality. The Blog Day in the framework of FASHIONOMICA educational program will welcome the bloggers Caroline Blomst, Danyel Troyse, Yvan Rodic and others. Professionals from the Eastern Europe large social network Vkontakte, would share the secrets of successful website promoting.
