Matali Crasset conceived a selection of objects exclusively distibuted by Made in Design.

The Palm Lab is a workshop-laboratory initiated by the same team that conceived the Dar HI eco-lodge located in Nefta, Tunisia: Matali Crasset, Patrick Elouarghi et Philippe Chapelet.

Palm lab is a project integrating a responsible tourism approach, a think-tank dedicated to Nefta’s oasis. While working on Dar HI, the idea of the Palm Lab came to mind straight away. The main material used in by the inhabitants of Nefta is palm wood and it is also used for Palm Lab because it is a natural , economical and ecological material from Nefta.and
When Catherine Colin and Guillaume Petit from Made in Design came to Tunisia, the initiative led to a collection. Together with Matali Crasset and Patrick Elouarghi, they all imagined a collection to promote the value of women’s work and crafstwork and to generate revenues that will be paid back for the preservation of the oasis.
