The third edition of The Salon: Art + Design will run from November 13th to 17th at the Park Avenue Armory, in New York.

With its wide range of selected design and art pieces, the show attracts tastemakers and collectors from around the world. In this sense, The Salon: Art + Design will showcase the finest of 20th century and contemporary art and design from 1890 to the present, along with major works of ethnographic art and antiquities. At no other fair can the visitor get a sense of the extraordinary as they can at The Salon. Visitors can expect to see a mix of museum quality 18th century furniture, art deco through 20th century design, and contemporary material. Ultimately, The Salon highlights the collector’s desire to live with the best through the creation of unique interiors,” says Jill Bokor, Executive Director of The Salon: Art + Design. In only three years, Bokor and her Co-Director, Jen Roberts, achieved to create a unique art platform, which features more than 50 international and domestic galleries, while conveying an intimate, French ‘Salon’-like atmosphere. In this context, the Galerie kreo and Galerie Dutko (Paris), the Ulrich Fiedler Gallery (Berlin), and the DeLorenzo Gallery (New York) will join the fair for the first time. The Salon experience actually begins a week prior to the event, with a cyber tour of the exhibition created in collaboration with Artsy.net, an online resource for art education and collecting. Invited guests will also have the opportunity to take a guided tour by a few prominent designers, including Robert Couturier, Vicente Wolf, Muriel Brandolini and David Scott, Rafael de Cárdenas, Alexander Gorlin, John Eason, Kristen McGinnis, Maria Brito, Alexandra Champalimaud, and Robert Stilin.
