Elite Daily: ‘’Why Successful People Wear The Same Thing Every Day’’

In his article, Elite Daily’s Staff Writer and Political Journalist, John Haltiwanger addresses the issue of Decision Fatigue - "a real psychological condition in which a person’s productivity suffers as a result of becoming mentally exhausted from making so many irrelevant decisions" - questioning "why many Presidents and CEOs wear the same thing every day". Haltiwanger takes personalities such as Barack Obama and Steve Jobs as an example, stressing the fact that Obama "wears the same suit every single day’’, and that the late Steve Jobs "wore his signature black turtleneck with jeans and sneakers every single day" as well. Haltiwanger concludes that men of power adopt a monotonous wardrobe, in order to focus on the bigger picture and substantial topics, instead of waisting their time with unproductive and minor details.
