The annual [size=15][red]Supima Design Competition[/red][/size] was created to give runway exposure to emerging designer and was modeled after the legendary 1954 Wool Secretariat Competition.

Seven of America’s top design schools [grey] FIDM, Parsons, FIT, Kent State University, RISD, SCAD [/grey] are asked to select one finalist from among their graduating seniors. Each finalist is asked to create a capsule collection of women’s eveningwear gowns from premium [size=15][red]Supima[/red][/size] denims, knits, corduroys, twills, and shirting.

A prestigious panel of judges decides the winner at a full-fledged fashion show held during the New York Fashion Week. [size=14][red]Olivia Culpo[/red][/size], [grey]Model and Miss Universe[/grey], hosts this 9th competition edition and the jury is composed of:

The winner will be announced at the show and will receive a $10,000 cash award.

The collections will be presented during two fashion weeks; the Thursday 8th of September at Skylight Clarkson Square for the New York Fashion Week and the Thursday 29th of September at the Paris Fashion Week.
