Who is on next? at Pitti Uomo

Second edition of the “Who’s on next?” menswear award, with eight finalists for prêt-à-porter and accessoires.

If the woman edition of the "Who is it next? " award is already well known promoted to the public names such as Gabriele Colangelo, Marco De Vincenzo and Aquilano-Rimondi, the menswear edition is in its second edition. Realised with the collaboration between Pitti Immagine Uomo, Alta Roma andL’Uomo Vogue “Who is on next?” intends to promote new talent,italian or working in Italy. During the most important exhibition, a jury composed by buyers, renowned journalists and opinion leaders will judge the collections proposed by the eight finalists and will award a winner for prêt-à-porter and a winner for accessories.

<sld(whoisonnext)|right>The finalists of this edition are : Camo by Stefano Ughetti, a collection that explores the relationship between people and territory, Dead Meat by Giovanni Battista De Pol that takes its name from "Naked Lunch" by William Burroughs, the project by Fabio Quaranta FQR, a leather collection inspired by a All Star limited series, Maurizio Mirri and his interpretation of couturerie codes in a contemporary style. Among the accessoires designers we find Andrea Incontri and his collection of leather goods AI_, Ozona, the customizr glasses collection by Sandro Gonnella, the Japanese Yuju Miura and his made in Italy shoes collection and Pierre-Louis Mascia and his bags and scarves with original prints. The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 16. On last edition, the designers awarded were Umit Benan e Max Kibardin, with a special mention of the jury for Leitmotiv.
