From June 24th to June 26th, Florence will host the Pitti Bimbo, a tradeshow dedicated to children's fashion.
Pitti Bimbo, the international tradeshow of children’s fashion, proposes a selection of different styles and design and textiles related aspects. This edition, will take place in Florence from June 24th to June 26th include a large participation of new brands (99 new brands for this edition) and expected comebacks. Among the new brand, we signal the debut of Fendi in children’s fashion, the kids collection by Hackett London and brands such Re-Hash, Daniel Cremieux, Pineider, Ash, Naturino e Manila Grace.
The tradeshow is composed by several areas : SportGeneration for sportswear collection, SuperStreet for streetwear collections, the classic and elegant collections and the New View section, dedicated to experimentation on children’s fashion an its interpretation. The selected theme for this year, "Full Bloom", designed by the architect and graphic studio dotdotot proposes a suspended landscape that mixes natural and floral elements with geometric modular. The forth edition of Apartment is dedicated to the luxury brands that push forward the research on children lifestyle fashion. The EcoEthic area, set in the Padiglione Centrale, will focus on ethical and environmental issues, with a selection of top brands that stand out in this direction.
Among the planned events, we notice the press conference on the first edition of "Who is it next? at Pitti Bimbo " that will be held in January 2011, numerous catwalks and presentations in the city, with brands such as Fendi, Miss Blumarine, Calvin Klein, WP Lavori in Corso. On Thursday, June 24th the seat of the Florentine label Gucci will present the launch of the Gucci KIDS collection. Several exhibition will take place on several themes during the tradeshow such as the 60th anniversary of Peanuts, organized in collaboration with the "Io Donna" magazine ; Style Piccoli, a collection of portraits of buyers with their children, nephew and little brothers. Another special event is the Monnalisa catwalk in the evocative setting of the Villa Vittoria and the launch of the new Laura Biagiotti Dolls collection. The tradeshow confirms its success and the quality of exhibitors, with the presence of the most important buyers of the Italian and international scene.
