Japanese creativity to show at Pitti Uomo 105

Japanese creativity, a blend of tradition and modernity, will show at the menswear trade show Pitti Uomo in Florence, from January 09 to 12, 2024. Two international projects focus on the artisanal and manufacturing excellence of this country's fashion sector: JQuality Factory Brand Project and Japan Leather Showroom.

The JQuality Factory Brand Project brings together a selection of JQuality-certified Japanese manufacturing companies. In a dedicated space within Futuro Maschile, the excellences of Japanese craftsmanship present a proposal of premium garments designed to transcend time and differences in age and gender. The JQuality Factory Brand Project is a cross-cutting project, with Masato Koyama of Heugn as its design director and consulting from Hirofumi Kurino, senior advisor of United Arrows Ltd., in collaboration with the selection of certified factories from Japan. Based on a unified ambiance, the initiative aims to showcase the superior technology of certified factories that are unique worldwide. The 12 companies showcasing at Pitti Uomo inside the JQuality Factory Brand Project include Daiichi Knit Marketing, Ito Medias, Marucho, Maruwa Knit, Miyata. WF, Nakano Apparel, Okochi Meriyasu, Santei, Sanyo Senko, Sun Ace, Sun Line, and Uchida Dyeing Works.

"Creativity, Sustainability and Craftsmanship" is the theme of the Japan Leather Showroom project, led by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (Meti) and promoting sustainable production within the leather goods sector in Japan, which brings four leather accessories brands to Pitti Uomo. In the Sala delle Nazioni, within the Superstyling section, Japan Leather Showroom presents the most exciting and conscious Made in Japan craftsmanship names capable of combining design and sustainability. The partecipating brands Brightway, Numero Uno, Regal Shoe&Co, The Shoe of Life by H.Katsukawa.

Additionally, 25 Japanese labels will showcase their new collections at the Fortezza. Their versatile, innovative, and functional designs will be key to this edition, especially in sections representing avant-garde menswear: Futuro Maschile, Superstyling, and I Go Out. The brands include Amc Aldomariacamillo, Antos, Barbour Flower Mountain, Boot Black, Brightway, Cohérence, D-Vec, Flower Mountain, Fujitaka, Goldwin, Ikiji, JQuality, Mooncastle, Nanamica, Numero Uno, Orbium, Regal Shoe & Co, Resolute, Roop, Snow Peak, Subu, The Chino Revived, The Shoe of Life By H.Katsukawa, Toga Pulla, and Toga Virilis.
