An increasing number of visitors, a rising amount of orders, a coming back to daring selections showed positive results

WHO'S NEXT & PREMIERE CLASSE

45 812 visitors} French and international visitors came into Hall 1, which represents an increase of 17 % compared to last September session. Creativity and inspiration were the main actors this season and many brands have illustrated these themes with a daily fashion show.

The European visitors (except France) came first with an international attendance of 12 110 visitors representing 26 % of total visitors. Italy counted 2 966 visitors (15 %), followed by Spain with 1598 visitors (17 %) then of Belgium with 1532 visitors (27 %). The visitorat of Germany and England fills out respectively of 20 and 23 %, each with 692 and 898 visitors.
France counted 25 624 visitors, which represented an increase of 16 %.
Asia benefited of promotions and registered a 10 % increase .
Japan consolidates its 4th with 990 visitors, followed by Korea, by China and by Hong-Kong
America registered a 20 % progress with 418 visitors followed by Brazil (226 visitors) and Canada (138 visitors).
Since 4 seasons, the Middle East visitors have been consolidating their presence with a rising number of visitors 514 entrances, 11 % more than last September.
Africa counted 334 visitors followed by Oceania from which half were from Australia.

PRÊT-A-PORTER PARIS

Prêt-à-Porter Paris closed its doors at Porte de Versailles with excellent results in term of total amount of orders which announces a positive start for this season.

This official report results from an increase within international buyers, 57% of French buyers and 43% of international buyers: Italy, Spain, Belgium/Luxembourg, Japan, UK, Greece, Holland, Switzerland, Germany, Middle-East appear within the top 10 of international visitors with an important rise within Spanish (+28%), Japanese (+12%), Italian (+8%), and Brasilian (+17%).
The great mix of brands - up by 15% - satisfied search for creativity by a right and precise offer.

The trade show hosted guests of choice such as the designer JC de Castelbajac and his line JC/DC or graduates of prestigious Japanese fashion school Bunka which have chosen to show for the first time their collection in a trade show.

MESS AROUND

The trade show welcomed 7497 visitors, a 37 % increase with regards to the September 2009 edition. Foreign visitors from 50 countries (Germany, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, New Caledonia, and Japan) represented an increase of 83%.
Mess Around welcomed more than 450 brands. The launch of a space dedicated to kids Mini Mess, a young creators' space, and the opening to leather and luggages category created the event and strongly contributed to a larger offer and number of visitors.

54 % of the visitorat (4048 visitors) came for the kids' offer (more than 80 brands), which confirms the interest into the new space.
Mess Around confirms its positioning in term of shoe, bags and other accessories.
The next edition of the show will take place at Porte of Versailles, from 22th to 25th January 2011.


INTERFILIÈRE & MODE CITY

A perfect atmosphere for business: Interfilière with Mode City, registered a 5 % increase of visitors with regard to 2009. <sld(eurovet)|right>
The leading trade show of fabrics and accessories for the lingerie and beachwear kept its promises. The development of the on-line platform Meet Lingerie showed great results. Launched in January 2010, it allows to optimize the average time visit due to an effective appointements’ planning. More than 300 appointments have been scheduled against 100 in January. Amongst the present buyers, one out of two were decision-maker in buying row materials. New spaces dedicated to the beachwear offer Dare To Create, Dare to Dream and Dare To Innovate have delighted visitors by their creativity and innovation.

Interfilière welcomed 80 % of international exhibitors and 73.5% of foreign visitors.
To note: Russia and Poland integrate the top ten countries visitors.
The American continent was strongly present :
- The North with the United States (5th place of the countries)
- The South with the presence of Brazilian buyers in number, attracted by the beachwear offer of the trade show in sharp increase this session.
