Scandinavia's biggest textile price, The Nordic Award in Textiles, a price reward of 250 000 swedish kronor, went to the Icelandic artist Hrafnhildur Arnardóttir for her innovative work of human and synthetic hair.

Since 1994, Hrafnhildur lives and works in New York where she exhibited at MoMA, created hairpieces to pop star Bjork and influenced Lady Gaga's spectacular hairstyles.
