The main exhibition of the spring season continues Design Museum’s series on 20th-century styles in design. It will extensively present the broad frame of reference of postmodernism from a Finnish perspective of the years 1980 – 1995 in architecture, design, popular culture and the arts. Also presented are international influences and actors in the field.

The exhibition addresses topical themes. International politics once again reflect the atmosphere of the Cold War, and Finlandization is being debated. Social media and the various levels of being are fragmentizing values and life. Dialogue is created by breaking boundaries.
The exhibition includes work by the following artists and designers, among others: Stefan Lindfors, Leena Luostarinen, Rita Taskinen, Vesa Varrela, Kimmo Sarje, Martin Relander, Aldo Rossi, Peter Shier, Natalie du Pasquer and Philippe Starck.
