The Poldi Pezzoli Museum, for the 50th edition of the Salone del Mobile, will host the exhibition From Vase to Flower. Inventory between Nature and Design from 7 April to 9 May 2011.

The exhibition, curated by Beppe Finessi, is a consideration about the flower vase, as every designer has to deal with such an object: this is the reason why we can make a list, an inventory as in the title, of those who are considered the leading designers of the third millennium.

On show nearly fifty vases; among them works by: Lorenzo Damiani, Julien Carretero, Florence Doleac, Marco Ferreri, Alexis Georgacopoulos, Martí Guixé, Massimo Lunardon, Fabio Novembre, Donata Paruccini, Adrien Rovero, Denis Santachiara, Paolo Ulian, Guido Venturini, Julien Carretero; besides, some “historical” pieces by big masters of Design.
The vases on show will be full of flowers, particularly chosen for each vessel considering its colour, shape and texture. An expert florist will look after the floral arrangements throughout the exhibition.
