Avant Toi celebrates the strong relationship with art, color and creativity as partners of the Mudec Museum of Culture in Milan for the exhibition "Rainbow: Colors and wonders between myths, art and science", from February 17 to July 2, 2023. This collaboration expands during the Milan Design Week in April with a special exhibit curated by Avant Tol inside Mudec, in which the new 2024 Home collection and unique knitwear pieces are presented with innovative installations, together with a special work of art by Mirko Ghignone as a tribute to the exhibition. On April 20, Mirko Ghianone also holds a live action painting performance, unveiling the techniques and behind the scenes creation of the new collections. A journey that breaks the traditional definitions of fashion by developing in-depth research on art, innovation and new expressive and artistic languages. The collaboration made possible the reprinting of "The Rainbow Book", the catalogue of the historic exhibition "The Rainbow Show", which took place in 1975 in San Francisco.

Tortona Rocks launches the first edition of Altrove, a project that will take place annually, outlining new, unexpected, urban geographies. Transcending the district limits of the Fuorisalone, which sees the exhibition initiatives located in defined areas, the territorial digression has the purpose of fueling an original dialogue between design and Milan, leaving the usual exhibition layouts and making everyday places protagonists to experience new influences, visual and conceptual.

The urban incursion will be in the Giambellino district this year.

Created in collaboration with MilanoSecrets, the acclaimed carnet d’adresse that allows you to discover Milan through unusual addresses, the initiative features a mapping of sites, from the anthropological laboratory of food to the bookshop, from the pharmacy to the historic winery and other contexts.

An immersive, technological space designed for everyone to experience the power of sharing and the opportunity to become networked.

4 technological elements in the space, 4 symbolic charging stations meet participants to connect them to the 4 pillars of Plenitude + Be Charge: sustainability, innovation, future and mobility.

Interacting individually with the elements, generative art creates a visual mood in which to see energy flow and a sonic connection to the environment through different soundscapes created for each element. Driving change means becoming a network and sharing a common vision and direction. The installation shows a change in the immersive environment visually and sonically only when participants decide to interact with all elements simultaneously.

Technology is the tool to create connections and synergy between people, community and environment by following its mission: to be the best ally in the challenge of energy transition.

BARONA DISTRICT – Labò
See on Map
April 17 2023 -> April 20 2023
*
Labò is the new cultural project promoted by the Rodolfo Ferrari Foundation within the Spa - Società Prodotti Antibiotici.
In synergy with the essence of the place, called to research in the medical field since its foundation in 1947, Labò is a laboratory that expresses itself in its true essence: an experimentation process that starts from an idea or a concept to become a product or an artwork.
The workshop is the distinctive theme of the project: the physical space in which visitors will be welcomed along the exhibition path, and the intangible space of a creative investigation that materialises in the design editions presented.
Labò was born from the will of Alisée Matta, president of Spa and of the Rodolfo Ferrari Foundation, with the aim of making expressions of science, culture and art coexist in the same historic industrial building.

Labò becomes a moment to exchange ideas, to reflect and promote research in the field of creativity, a choral event in which art, design and experimentation come together to show unprecedented results.
