Cynthia & Xiao

Born in Hong Kong with an international upbringing, Cynthia was first exposed to arts through her studies in graphics design. She then attended Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design to further pursue her interests. There, she was immersed in a sea of young, talented fashion students whose strong passion and skills inspired her to begin her new journey in fashion.

Beginning afresh in a new field, she devoted her life in learning about fashion and constructing garments. With her enthusiasm and endless hours of work, she graduated from CSM with distinction. Her strong final collection also garnered her the praise of Italian Vogue by naming her as a designer to watch out for and including her in their list of "New Talents".
After working in Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Preen by Thornton and Roksanda Illincic, she returned to her hometown, and work in large scale luxury fashion retailers. However, her ambition remains in the line of fashion design and consequently establish the brand Cynthia & Xiao in 2014.

Xiao Xiao was born in Beijing and moved to UK in 2002. During her earlier studies in fine arts and textiles in high school, she discovered her interest and talents in merging artwork with fashion. For further studies, she attended Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design. Encompassed in the great artistic environment, she explored many different ways of expressing her creative ideas through fashion design and eventually resolved to enter the field of knitwear.
After successfully graduating from CSM, with her multicultural background and varied work experience in the UK fashion industry, she decided to move back to China to develop her career. To acquire a deeper understanding of the Chinese fashion market and to prepare herself for the launch of her own label in the future, she worked with local Chinese design company WO square. During her time there, she gained real life experience of the design process from scratch to final production and built up a strong profile of work.
After years of preparation, Xiao Xiao join force with Cynthia. as a knitwear specialist, Xiao Xiao was excited to combine her Fashion & Knitwear skills into the brand
