120 2006 ART DIRECTOR Modem Accessories Spring-Summer 2007 Cover by ROBERTO DA POZZO Roberto Da Pozzo , is the “atypical and minimalistic” Creative Director of our Modem & Modem Europe editions. Roberto Da Pozzo , studied under A.G. Fronzoni at the Istituto Statale d’Arte in Monza (Italy). In 1980, when he was just 20 years old, he began working with Carla Sozzani at Italian Vogue . In 1985 Roberto was promoted to Art Director of Vogue Pelle and in 1991 assu- med the position of Art Director at Vogue Uomo as well. During this same period he published many cartoons and illustrations in both Italian and international magazines. At the same time he started a theatre group in which he also grew as an actor. In 1993 Roberto left Vogue and opened his own studio, where he works primarily as an image consultant for fashion and design companies including T russardi (1993-94), Malo, Piazza Sempione, Valextra, Piombo, Fissore, Ferré, Henry Lloyd, and Frette. Since 2001 Roberto has also collaborated with Agnona, Moschino Perfumes, Nike, Marni, Casadei, Dema, Cerruti, Moncler, Fuzzi, Ballantyne, Henry Cotton’s, Marina Yachting, Folli Follie, La Perla, Brioni, Frau, Vhernier, and many others. Since MODEM publishing experience has started, Roberto Da Pozzo and his team have been responsible of the graphic aspect of Modem editions , as a result thanks to their collaboration each new edition is unique and original.
