Since 2006, villa Noailles art centre organises each year an international festival of design. The festival revolves around an international competition open to young designers, which combines exhibitions and discussions. Through this innovative platform, the villa Noailles aims to further its support for young design, whilst at the same time gathering together designers, members of the industry, journalists, and the general public.

The contest will gather the ten competing designers selected by the jury, under the presidency of Bertjan Pot. The jury will award the Grand Prix Design Parade granted of research residencies at Sèvres – cité de la céramique and International Research Center on Glass and Arts of Marseille, a grant and the possibility to edit a project will be given by the Galerie Kreo. The following year, the awarded designer will exhibit at the villa Noailles for Design Parade 9, in Köln during Passagen and in Paris during Designer’s Days.
