From May 9 to May 13, New York Art Week offers an important program of fairs.
The city is during the fairs all about art. An important number of museums, art centers and galleries show an exciting contemporary art program.


ART FAIRS:

- PULSE New York
from May 09 to May 12, 2013
Metropolitan Pavilion, 125 West 18th Street, New York
PULSE, a leading art fair dedicated to international contemporary art, will host sixty national and international galleries, presenting exhibitions that span across all media, from works on paper, painting, and sculpture, to performance, installation, and video art.

Verge Art New York is proud to host a list of exhibitors that includes international and national galleries. A boutique fair event, the highly selective Verge NY operates in the tradition of Miami's Seven fair, with a maximum of fourteen spacious 200 sq. ft. booths available.

Ambre Kelly and Andrew Gori, co-creators of SPRING/BREAK Art Show, are pleased to announce their upcoming collaboration with the New Museum’s IDEAS CITY Festival.
Artworks centered on the theme Wish Meme, will examine ideas of 21st Century wish fulfillment in the Recession world – and how gestures of commodification, consumerism, and American dreaming online and off trend in the contemporary human psyche.

At Frieze New York 2013, Frieze Projects will organize a special tribute to FOOD, the legendary restaurant opened in October 1971 by Gordon Matta- Clark and Carol Goodden in collaboration with other artists.
FOOD 1971/2013 will be a dynamic platform where each day a different artist will be invited to cook in a convivial environment. Both a restaurant and performance stage FOOD 1971/2013 will be a space where cooking and art are discussed, inspired and produced.
