ITALY / The 55th Venice Biennale Announces International Jury

The board of directors of the Fifty-Fifth Venice Biennale has announced the presiding members of its international jury.

They include:

- Sofía Hernández Chong Cuy (Mexique), chef curator 9e Bienalle do Mercosul de Porto Alegre in Brazil and curator of the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros, New York and Caracas.

- Francesco Manacorda (Italie), artistic director, Tate Liverpool

- Bisi Silva (Nigeria), independant curator and director of the Lagos Center of Contemporary Art, Nigéria.

- Ali Subotnick (Etats-Unis), curator Hammer Museum Los Angeles.

Jessica Morgan (Tate Modern curator) has been named president of the jury, which will decide the Golden Lion prizes and the Silver Lion award given to a promising young artist exhibited at the biennale.
