NYCxDESIGN is a collaboration among the City Council, Mayor’s Office, City agencies and a steering committee composed of some of the City’s most renowned design institutions, retailers, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, curators, educators, editors and designers.
Events will be staged across all five boroughs, from convention facilities and galleries to design schools and public parks. The NYCXDESIGN website will list details for all featured events.
During New York Design Week 2013 the best of design can be seen across the City, from three fairs Wanted Design, Intro NY, International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) to Noho Design District events and more.
- WANTED DESIGN

In just its third year, Wanted Design has grown to become one of the most important design events on the calendar. Held in the former Tunnel nightclub space, now called the Terminal Shops, the show is vast.
This year nearly 50 exhibitors will participate. There will also be a design conversation series, film screenings, workshops and a pop-up store. The show will feature broad spectrum work from many New York based designers as well as a strong international representation.
- INTRO NY

INTRO NY will be a capsule event featuring select products from considered design brands: Castor, Council, Massproductions, Modus, neo-utilit, Resident, and Very Good & Proper.
INTRO NY will be a place to do business, socialise or relax. The gallery interior will be configured in a series of intimate vignettes, each representing a different brand. The pop-up retail shop will allow visitors to browse the latest design accessories and take them home. In the courtyard there will be an outdoor café run by Brooklyn Roasting Company and a relaxing seating area for visitors to unwind.

The International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) will celebrate its 25th year. It will be design central for leading innovators, thinkers, planners, experimenters, educators, manufacturers, up-and-comers, and design-lovers as they flock to North America’s premier event for contemporary design.
The ICFF will map the frontier of design’s best and design’s next in full-on silver anniversary style. Expected are more than 500 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, 9 contingents, 13 special features, and more than 26,000 attendees.
- NOHO DESIGN DISTRICT

The Noho Design District is produced and curated annually by Monica Khemsurov and Jill Singer of Sight Unseen in partnership with NoHo-Bowery Stakeholders.
In just four years, the Noho Design District has become an incubator for new ideas and emerging talents — a dynamic destination for those attending the fair at the Javits, centered in a neighborhood that is already considered a hub for design and creativity.
