Deutsche Bank is opening its new KunstHalle with the exhibition "Imran Qureshi, artist of the Year 2013".

The KunstHalle defines itself as a place of discovery – an institution that is as alive and in flux as the German capital itself.

In the KunstHalle, the Deutsche Bank Collection can be experienced in a new way – in exhibitions conceived by artists and international guest curators.

One highlight of the program is the presentation of Deutsche Bank’s Artist of the Year, who is honored each year with a major solo exhibition. At the same time, the KunstHalle provides a forum for young talents on Berlin’s international art scene, presenting them for the first time to a broad public.

Following Wangechi Mutu (2010), Yto Barrada (2011), and Roman Ondák (2012), Deutsche Bank awards its Artist of the Year prize for the fourth time, to Imran Qureshi.

Imran Qureshi is showing a solo exhibition of his work in Europe for the first time. Until August 4, 2013, large paintings the artist executed in Berlin, an expansive installation, and a cycle of miniature paintings will be on view.
