From June to September 2009, the workshops are held at the Domaine de Boisbuchet in Southwest France. The workshops run from six to ten days depending on the subjects and are led by designers, architects and artists of international renown. In recent years, Boisbuchet workshops have been led by designers such as the Bouroullec brothers, Tom Dixon, Fabio Novembre, Ingo Maurer ... This year's hosts include: Humberto and Fernando Campana (Brazil), Maarten Baas (Netherlands), Héctor Serrano (Spain / UK) and Max Lamb (Great Britain) ... Zurich designer Beat Karreranimera will animate a new workshop on biopolymers. Ulrike Brandi will present a workshop on light design. The collective Liquid Fusion propose, in collaboration with the Corning Museum of Glass (Corning, New York) and under the guidance of the creator Paul Haigh and glass artist Steve Gibbs, the development of innovative projects in glass. Additionally, for the first time, the Vitra Design Museum is developing a workshop for glass and porcelain inspired by traditional wood based (non-polluting) stoves as part of a collaboration between the Corning Museum of Glass, The Corning Community College and the École Nationale Supérieure d'Art de Limoges (ENSA).
