Outdoor Design

For the first time with Outdoor Design, the international contemporary design scene for the outdoors will come to the Tuileries from 4th to 7th of June 2009 as part of the expo Jardin Jardin. This event devoted to the latest design trends for outdoor spaces, whether public or private gardens and terraces will focus on sensible approaches to sustainable development. A call for proposals from around the world was issued last fall.

Under the commissionership of Aude Charrié, around a pavilion conceived as a true object of design, projects and prototypes, and exhibitor stands will offer furniture, lighting, buildings, huts, objects, containers, soil, textiles, tools , signs, children's games, as well as unique, one of a kind pieces from designers. On show will be innovative projects selected for their form and approach to sustainable development: energy and materials (lighting and city gardens, use of renewable energy, recycled and reused materials ...), production (location and chain of supply tracking, waste reduction, composting, biodiversity protection ...) modernization of traditional skills, various recovery methods, limiting pollution emissions, reduced packaging...
Participants include: Yann Kersale, François Azambourg, Nestor Perkal, Patrick Nadeau, Alexis Tricoire, Nadine Cahen, Frédéric Ruyant ... Conferences, meetings and round tables will make this a remarkable gathering in the garden.
