From July 1st, the Centre Pompidou and Alain Mikli offer to the blind persons and the partially sighted persons an experimental journey of "tactile images" at the national museum of modern art.

The system depends on an innovative technology developed by the glasses creator Alain Mikli. This project is enrolled in the policy of accessibility and cultural mediation offer adapted to every public that is originated by the Centre Pomidou.

The journey is articulated around 10 paintings representative of the museum's collections and of majors currents of modern and contemporary art. Picasso, Soulages, Ernst, Baselitz or Piffaretti number among the ten majors painters whose works are interpreted in relief.
The partially sighted persons can discover with their fingers constitutive elements of the works, understand the shapes, the outlines, the texture through the sense of touch and gradually build a mental image of the painting.
