The legendary Vogue US Editor-in-Chief and Condé Nast Artistic Director will be awarded for her outstanding contribution to the fashion industry.

Circle your calendars: On December 1st, Anna Wintour will be honored with the Outstanding Achievement Award at the 2014 British Fashion Awards, which will take place at the London Coliseum. During her one-of-a-kind career in fashion, Wintour has headed up both, the American and British editions of Vogue, and mentored many brilliant emerging designers. In addition, she helped to raise over US $20 million for the HIV/AIDS outreach through the CFDA/Vogue Initiative. "There isn't a person working in fashion who has not been inspired and influenced by Anna's leadership," said Natalie Massenet, Chairman of the British Fashion Council and Founder of Net-a-Porter, in an official release. "This is why we are honoring Anna at this year's British Fashion Awards. An editor, business woman, philanthropist, mother, friend and icon; this award recognizes and celebrates her extraordinary contribution to the global fashion industry and to popular culture."
