Next year’s Guest of Honour at Stockholm Furniture Fair and Northern Light Fair is British designer Paul Smith.

This is the seventh year in a row that a top international designer has been invited to design a lounge, which in 2010 will be located in Hall A for the first time. Paul Smith is best known as a fashion designer, but he has also designed furniture and upholstery textiles. In 2002, he collaborated with Cappellini to create the Mondo collection and in 2003 he launched ‘Bespoke’ an upholstery textile for Maharam. He also designs a collection of rugs for The Rug Company.

“We want to highlight the crossover between various design genres; fashion, interior design and furniture, and the fact that the world of interior design clearly finds inspiration in the world of fashion today...", says Cecilia Nyberg, Event Manager, Stockholm Furniture Fair and Northern Light Fair.
