Dior’s Pre-Fall 2015 collection, named Esprit Dior Tokyo 2015, was showcased in Tokyo, on December 11th. The event welcomed more than 1600 guests, including Bernard Arnault, the Chairman and CEO of LVMH, and Sydney Toledano, Christian Dior’s CEO.

For his Esprit Dior Tokyo 2015 Pre-Fall collection, (Raf Simons}, the Artistic Director of Christian Dior, has been inspired by the Japanese city, its futuristic architecture, and the melting pot of Western and Eastern cultures, which stays for Tokyo’s unique source of creativity. Moreover, the style diversity and the freedom with which Tokyoites approach fashion served as an inspiration for the Esprit Dior Tokyo 2015 collection. In this sense, the Pre-Fall collection reflected the contrasts that define Tokyo as a city. Mat and shiny materials, day and evening looks, and masculine and feminine elements, were fused into an eclectic range of garments. As Japanese luxury always includes functionality, Esprit Dior Tokyo 2015 featured a new utilitarian glamour, spiced up with futuristic aesthetics, which made the collection look modern and playful, targeting a young and cool audience.
