LVMH announces the launch of the 2015 edition of the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers.

The first edition of the LVMH Prize, held in 2014, had a great resonance within the fashion field, and attracted more than 1200 applicants. In this sense, the LVMH Prize rewarded the talent of promising up-and coming designers, such as Thomas Tait, the designer-duo Miuniku, and Hood by Air, who were the winners of the past edition.

The prize includes a grant of 300,000 euros, as well as a personalized mentorship from a dedicated LVMH team for a period of twelve months. In addition, the LVMH Prize offers three recent fashion school graduates the opportunity to join the design-team of an LVMH-owned brand for one year, and award them a 10,000 euro grant. The jury includes nine Creative Directors of LVMH-owned fashion houses, as well as Delphine Arnault, Executive Vice President of Louis Vuitton and the prize’s supervisor, Jean-Paul Claverie, advisor to Bernard Arnault and Head of Corporate Philanthropy for LVMH, and Pierre-Yves Roussel, Chairman and CEO of the LVMH Fashion Group.

With this second edition of the LVMH Prize for Young Designers, the Group confirms its ongoing dedication to young talent. It is our responsibility as a leader of our industry to identify tomorrow's talent and help them grow, stated Delphine Arnault in an official release.

Applications for the Prize are accepted from January 6th until February 8th, 2015, through the official LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers website. The ten finalist will be shortlisted by a committee of international experts and revealed during Paris Fashion Week, in March 2015. The winner will be selected in June 2015.
