Mouna Ayoub, the billionaire socialite of Lebanese origin, well-know for being a fervent Haute Couture buyer, decided to put up a part of her impressive wardrobe collection for auction.
More than 3 000 pieces from her thirty year-old Haute Couture collection, such as designer bags, shoes, and evening dresses by Chanel, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dior, Galliano, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, and Alaïa, among others, will be showcased from January 30th to February 2nd, at the French auction house Cornette de Saint-Cyr in Paris.

Prior to the start of the auction marathon - 2 000 lots are to be auctioned - Mouna Ayoub’s luxury collection will be exhibited from January 24th to 29th at the premises of the auction house, on avenue Hoche in Paris. In addition, Mouna Ayoub stated that she will donate a part of the benefits to promote the career of young creatives. In this sense, 100,000 euros will go to the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris, which is currently missing funds to finance its upcoming exhibition, and another 100,000 euros will go to the Cinéfondation, which supports young talent in the French movie industry. “It’s really not a question of selling what I don’t like anymore. On the contrary, I am really selling some of the best pieces so that others can enjoy them and I can raise the maximum of funds," she told Blouinartinfo.com.
