On April 15th, after the upcoming womenswear season, Mario Boselli will step down as President of the Italian Fashion Chamber.

Boselli has held the position since 1999, succeeding to Santo Versace. In addition, he had a key role in the resolution of conflicting fashion week calendars in New York, London and Paris, and was able to establish solid business relationships in emerging fashion markets, including China and Russia.

At its next assembly, the Italian Fashion Chamber’s board of directors announced that it will name Boselli as honorary president, and stated that it is currently seeking Boselli’s replacement. As of today, the position is still vacant.
