Recreation by Olivier Châtenet will take place from March 8th to 21st at Joyce in Paris. The exhibition will showcase a wide selection of vintage design clothes from the 2nd half of the 20th century, including Châtenet’s private archive of rare Yves Saint Laurent pieces. The show will be inaugurated on March 7th with a special cocktail reception for invited guests.

The French artist and fashion stylist Olivier Châtenet has previously worked for Alaïa, Thierry Mugler and Hèrmes, among other luxury brands. His long-term experience in the fashion industry helped him to become a true taste-maker and expert of Yves Saint Laurent. During the last few years, Châtenet curated several exhibitions dedicated to the iconic French designer, such as Crazy for Yves Saint Laurent, which has been showcased in Shanghai and in Hong Kong. In addition, he has worked as a consultant for the Saint Laurent biopic directed by Bertrand Bonello. Bonello’s feature film, which featured Châtenet’s personal collection, was awarded with the prestigious César Award for Best Costume in 2015.

With Recreation, Olivier Châtenet aims to reinterpret iconic fashion pieces, by infusing them with a contemporary look, while keeping their vintage charm alive.
