M. PATMOS is the winner of the 2015 edition of International Woolmark Prize for womenswear. The results of the prestigious competition, which rewards young designers and their innovative use of wool threads, were announced during the award ceremony, held in Beijing, on March 17th.

After a global competition, involving 21 countries and more than 60 designers, M.PATMOS was selected by an esteemed Jury, which included fashion designer Victoria Beckham, Vogue China's Editor-in-Chief Angelica Cheung, Vogue Italia's Editor-in-Chief Franca Sozzani, and British journalist Colin McDwell, as well as major representatives from Woolmark's retail partners. This year’s edition is the first one to distinguish between men's and women's wear, as the prize for Menswear went to the designer-duo Public School.

The designer Marcia Patmos is based in New York-based and launched her own brand M. PATMOS in 2011. Patmos made a name for herself by designing well tailored and casual silhouettes. In addition to prestigious recognition, the winner receives a financial contribution of AU$100,000 (US$76,366) and the opportunity to be stocked in the most important retailers around the globe including Saks Fifth Avenue, Harvey Nichols, 10 Corso Como, Joyce, Isetan Mitsukoshi, David Jones and Mytheresa.com. The collection will be available in partner retailers globally from August 2015.
